In 2019, it was Venmo. Colton Underwood’s relationship with Cassie Randolph was ousted when one eagle-eyed viewer noticed he was friends with the whole Randolph family on the money-sharing app. Then, 2020 revealed Hannah Ann Sluss and Peter Weber left the show together when they individually posted golfing photos featuring the same golf bag.

And of course, we can’t forget the classic Bachelorette spoiler: when Kaitlyn Bristowe accidentally uploaded a photo of herself and winner Shawn Booth in bed to her Snapchat account.

It doesn’t get any more extreme than that, but James’ possible spoiler story is still unique. And it doesn’t seem far-fetched. The theory does align with the spoilers Reality Steve reported this season.

Fans have been watching James’ Spotify listening history and he’s spent some time browsing through playlists created by Rachael Kirkconnell, the woman Reality Steve reported will win the final rose. In particular, one playlist called “Night Drive” was even saved by James. The obvious conclusion that fans jumped to is that James wouldn’t be sharing music suggestions with a girl from the show who he’d dumped already.

Some claim James and Kirkconnell are together after filming, though Reality Steve did not reveal if the pair were officially engaged. The final rose was accepted. If a ring was also accepted, won’t be revealed until the finale.

At this point in the Bachelor season, Kirkconnell hasn’t had too much screen time. The show is mainly centered on early-season drama between some women, with Victoria Larson—“Queen” Victoria, as she calls herself—leading the controversial conversations.

James appears to be getting to know each of the women, but the drama will continue to overshadow real connections for a few weeks to come, given his group of women isn’t dwindling yet. Four new women were welcomed to the cast last week, so it may be a while before viewers can confidently relax and watch James entertain just a few.

For now, the drama will have to do. Viewers have taken a liking to one woman, though, Abigail Heringer. The front-runner is the first deaf contestant on the franchise. While she apparently won’t win the season, it’s possible she’ll have another role on a Bachelor franchise show this year, be it The Bachelorette or Bachelor in Paradise.
