The Puerto Rican superstar rapper dropped his first collaboration with Crocs on Tuesday at 12 p.m. ET, and within minutes, the collection sold out. The shoes were listed for a cool $59.99 on the official Crocs shop online, and after having shoppers wait in line for about 30 minutes, the website posted a message announcing that supplies were already gone.
Upset fans were quick to hop on Twitter and lament about their missed opportunity.
“Don’t even talk to me rn. I wanted these bad bunny crocs more than I’ve wanted anything in my life. Just wow 2020 I’m officially over it,” one user wrote.
Another wrote: “Me realizing I am an idiot for thinking I had a chance at getting the bad bunny crocs.”
There were other shoppers who didn’t understand how the Crocs sold so quickly after they had waited in line virtually for hours long before the shoes were available for purchase.
“Bruh the line for the bad bunny crocs wasn’t even moving wym they sold out #BadBunnyXCrocs,” one person tweeted.
“So the bad bunny crocs sold out? But the line never really moved? What the f**k,” one Twitter user wrote.
The “Yo Perrero Sola” singer’s exclusive Crocs clogs came in two different styles, colorways and include star and flame-shaped Jimbbitz charms inspired by Bad Bunny’s musical prowess. Oh, and what’s even better, the Crocs glow in the dark.
It’s not necessarily too late for fans to get their hands on a pair, but it will certainly cost them. Within minutes after the Bad Bunny x Crocs collection sold out, pairs were listed on the footwear resale site StockX with prices reaching as high as $300.
Bad Bunny’s footwear collaboration with Crocs seems to have had an even better turnout than when rapper Post Malone debuted his own Crocs collection back in December 2019. On the day of Malone’s clogs release, the entire collection sold out in under two hours.
When the Bad Bunny x Crocs collaboration was announced on September 25, the 26-year-old revealed the shoes were a part of his “Come As You Are” campaign, which aims to inspire all his fans and followers to “feel comfortable in their own shoes.”
“I believe in being true and not placing limitations on myself, which is also something Crocs represents, and this is the message I always want to make sure I send out to my fans,” Bad Bunny said. “As a longtime fan, creating my own design for Crocs was a lot of fun. I hope they inspire others to have their own fun with their personal style and wearing what makes them happy.”
