The Mali international’s contribution in Crystal Palace’s attack has not gone unnoticed as he weighed in with two goals in five matches last month.

Sako featured in every of the Eagles’ games in January, including four English Premier League appearances and one FA Cup outing.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers player scored the only goal as Roy Hodgson’s men bowed out of the FA Cup after a 2-1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion on January 8.

Also, he scored the decisive goal in Crystal Palace’s 1-0 win over Burnley, thus, securing their second league victory in January.

Sako who has sidelined for the rest of the season after suffering an ankle injury in the Palace’s 1-1 draw against West Ham United on January 30 appreciated the fans for their votes.

Crystal Palace are 14th in the EPL log with 27 points - three off the drop zone - and will visit Everton on Saturday for their next league game.
