Hersh’s Pizza, a Federal Hill parlor in Baltimore, is offering free pizza when people trade in their Rice jerseys.
The eatery later posted another message that it was taking sugesions on what to do with the jerseys.
Hersh’s $2.70 donation is because of Rice’s jersey No. 27.
This isn’t the first time football fans have gotten the opportunity to trade in a player’s jersey for something cool.
The Patriots’ pro shop at Gillette Stadium offered a similar deal when fans who had bought the jersey of former tight end Aaron Hernandez could trade them in and receive those of current Patriots players.
This deal sounds better than some fans’ alternative of burning Rice’s jersey; at least this way results in free pizza.
