Other notable first-timers include Mike Mussina and Jeff Kent.
Results of the balloting will be announced on Jan. 8.
WHO WILL GET IN?: 1B | 2B, SS, 3B, C
Maddux (355 wins, four Cy Young awards), Glavine (305 wins, two Cy Youngs) and Thomas (.301/.419/.555, 521 home runs, two MVPs) all have strong cases for Cooperstown. And unlike last year's first-timers like Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Sammy Sosa, none has been tainted with suspicions of PED use.
Jack Morris returns to the ballot for the 15th and final time. If he doesn't make it this year, he will have to make his case to the Expansion Era Committee at some point in the future. Other returnees include long-time Astros teammates Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell.
