Breeland was personally responsible for all 13 points for injury-riddled Washington — plus saving his team four more — as they took a surprise 13-10 lead over the Jets at halftime at the Meadowlands.

Breeland recovered Eric Decker’s fumble after a reception on the Jets’ first possession, and that led to a field goal and a 3-0 lead.

Early in the second quarter, the Jets’ Chris Ivory broke loose down the left sideline for a 54-yard run, but Breeland chased him down and ran him out of bounds at the Washington 21. The Jets were held to a field goal.

With five minutes left in the half, Breeland wrestled Brandon Marshall on a reception, ripped the ball loose and dove on it at the Washington 45. That set up a 54-yard field goal that tied the game at 10.

And in the final minute of the half, a Ryan Fitzgerald pass was too far for Marshall, who got a hand on it to deflect it — but Breeland stretched out to catch the deflection and return it just past midfield. Washington kicked another field goal with two seconds left in the half.
