Luckily Baylor has a bye week before heading to Kansas State on Nov. 5, but Briles said he is “unsure” if his quarterback would be available by then.
Russell injured his neck on a 4-yard run in the fourth quarter and was replaced by backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham when the game was all but sealed.
