Baylor coach Art Briles has said the 410-pound McGowan’s receiving touchdown in the Bears’ Cotton Bowl loss to Michigan State wasn’t a one-time thing and that he planned to transition McGowan from the offensive line to a skill position this spring.

Judging from Baylor’s spring game Friday night, Briles is a man of his word.
McGowan had one of the biggest highlights in Baylor’s annual “Friday Night Lights” game by snagging a pass from backup quarterback Chris Johnson and rumbling ahead for 21 yards.
“He’s just a big kid that’s got some talent,” Briles told the team’s website. “We’ve got to make sure he keeps burning hot and keeps figuring out ways to help our football team.”

With Briles’ offensive ingenuity and McGowan’s move to receiver now permanent, college football fans should get ready for some extremely fun plays out of Waco this fall.
