Darnell Mooney set out to answer the first question in spades Sunday, as he climbed the ladder and corralled a ridiculous one-handed catch against the Vikings toward the end of the first half with the Bears down 21-3.
The catch raised eyebrows as it came just two weeks after George Pickens made the presumed catch of the year for the Steelers, an Odell Beckham Jr.-esque stick-’em style grab.
Mooney’s was a bit less firm, but it was utterly ridiculous all the same.

It was Mooney’s only catch of the first half, but it was highly impactful as it set up the Bears’ only touchdown drive of the first half to make it 21-10 Vikings heading into the half.
For the Bears, consistency will be key, but that’s a pretty terrific way to get a quarterback’s confidence. It inspired a lot of DARNELL MOONEY reactions online from people who didn’t quite know what else to say.
