Cutler threw for 252 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions in a 20-10 victory over the Vikings in Chicago’s last outing. But he may not have done himself any favors on Thursday when he said he was “happy with the results” of Tuesday’s presidential election.

“I’ve supported Trump for a while,” Cutler said at a news conference regarding new President-elect Donald Trump. “I’m not going to dive into it. I know it’s a sensitive issue, but I like where it’s going.”

Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton won the state of Illinois by a 55-39-percent margin over Trump and had overwhelming support in the Chicagoland area. 

It’s probably a good thing for Cutler the Bears are in Tampa this weekend for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers.
