The Spurs defeated the Suns, 93-90, behind 23 points from Jonathan Simmons and 22 points from Treveon Graham. San Antonio finished 6-1 under Hammon on the way to the championship.

“Well it was a grind,” Hammon said after the game. “They’ve been together about 17 games and they really started to jell these last few games. . . .  They just competed. They were tired, and they fought through a lot.”

League MVP Kyle Anderson finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists, none better than this beautiful behind-the-back pass.

In addition to the impressive showing in Las Vegas, Hammon also has her travel shuffle down. Gregg Popovich would be proud.
