Burrow scrambled to try and gain a first down when the hit happened: Savage went low on the tackle, with Campbell following with a blow of his own while Burrow was airborne. The results were less-than kind.
Upon closer look, as if the sandwich hit wasn’t bad enough, Burrow’s head bounced off the turf. He appeared dazed as he lied on the turf.
Fortunately, Burrow was able to walk off under his own power, and proceeded into the medical tent. He was evaluated for a concussion before returning to the Bengals bench in the second.
Burrow got back into the game to exact a little bit of revenge on Savage for the hit: Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase connected for a 70-yard touchdown pass, just out of the outstretched arms of the safety on the TD.
The Packers would lead the Bengals into halftime up 16-14, but Burrow healthy — and slinging TDs — might be the biggest win of the day for Cincinnati.
