QB Jordan Love, Packers ($5,500)
Love didn’t put up great numbers by any means last week against the 49ers (13/24, 176 passing yards, no TDs), but he logged a total of 49 snaps to Danny Etling’s 25. It’s still unlikely Aaron Rodgers plays tonight, and even if he were to get a series or two, Love’s set up for another high snap count. Love has the ability to throw for close to 200 yards and a couple of TDs, which sould help him lead all QBs in fantasy points on Friday night.
Another QB option to consider: PJ Walker, Panthers ($5,500)
RB Royce Freeman, Texans ($5,500)
With Rex Burkhead sitting out and Marlon Mack logging just three carries, Freeman led all Texans’ RBs with 15 total touches last year. While rookie RB Dameon Pierce was by far the most impressive RB for Houston in Week 1 against the Saints, Freeman is the man worth adding to your lineup Friday night. There’s a chance Pierce’s workload diminishes, as he’s showed out during training camp, solidifying his role in the Texans backfield during regular season action. Freeman, on the other hand, is fighting for a roster spot, and a 15-carry night is not out of the question.
RB Tyler Goodson, Packers ($5,500)
Similar to Freeman, Goodson was the most utilized RB for Green Bay last week, logging a total of 14 touches (12 carries, two receptions). Goodson wasn’t the most efficient given his usage (3.1 yards per carry), but he’ll likely see a similar workload tonight, leading to an even better overall output.
Another RB option to consider: Spencer Brown, Panthers ($5,500)
WR Lil’ Jordan Humphrey, Patriots ($5,500)
Humphrey logged the second-highest snap count out of all Patriots’ receivers last week (44), slightly behind Kristian Wilkerson (46). Humphrey made the most of his opportunity, hauling in six passes for 62 yards and a TD. Patriots third-string QB Bailey Zappe was consistently looking his way, and with Wilkerson not suiting up Friday night after suffering a concussion in practice earlier this week, expect another high snap count from Humphrey. A second-straight five-plus catch, 50-yard output is not out of the equation.
WR Lance McCutcheon, Rams ($5,500)
McCutcheon was a Week 1 standout, playing 87 percent of the Rams’ offensive snaps while catching five passes for 87 yards and two scores. With Sean McVay not likely to play many starters, McCutcheon has another opportunity to show out. Given his projected snap count, the undrafted rookie out of Montana State is a must-start.
Another WR option to consider: Amari Rodgers, Packers ($5,500)
