Queenie the dog was caught on camera tucked up in her human companion’s bed, snoring away in footage that has been watched over 5 million times on TikTok.

The clip, posted to the account queeniethebichon, can be seen here.

Alongside the video of the sleeping dog, Queenie’s owner provided viewers with a walkthrough of the canine’s not-so-hectic morning routine.

The caption read: “My dog fast asleep at 9 A.M. after waking up at 7:28 A.M. for her 7:30 A.M. breakfast followed by her 8 A.M. walk, then cuddles on the sofa till 8:45 A.M. knowing that her midday snack will come around in no time.”

While Queenie may be treated like royalty at home, her sleep patterns are in line with what most healthy dogs experience, according to a canine sleep study conducted by researchers from North Carolina State University.

The 2018 survey of 42 healthy adult dogs identified that most canines have two activity peaks throughout the day with the first running from around 8 A.M. to 10 A.M., followed by a second longer period from 5 P.M. to 11 P.M.

While Queenie’s sleep pattern may differ ever so slightly from the one outlined in the study, it would appear it’s perfectly normal for a dog to enjoy the kind of mind-morning lull as captured in the video. The snoring, of course, is another matter.

Not that anyone watching the clip was especially hung up on the science behind it all. They were too busy poking fun at the pet pooch’s sleepy demeanor.

It was a very relatable scenario for many watching along with the quips flying thick and fast in the comments section accompanying the video.

Sweetcandor_ imagined Queenie saying to herself, “Whew today drained me”—while marya_marss said the noise of the dog snoring was reminiscent of a beloved elderly relative, writing “that’s grandma!”

Sidnancybellatrix agreed, commenting: “She looks like a wee granny sleeping. I can’t cope.”

Gorillagrippp added she was “sleeping like she just worked a 9-5.”

Anthony West, meanwhile, imagined himself “tiptoeing around the house not to wake her.” Meanwhile, Christopher Choi declared: “I want to be a loved dog in my next life. Best life ever.”

Elsewhere, Candyreid0 struck a more sentimental tone, writing: “This makes me so happy that this precious baby has a wonderful family who loves her unconditionally! Spoiled to the bone.”

However, elfyeah couldn’t resist a pun, commenting: “ssh! she had a ruff morning.”
