K.J. Norton laid a punishing hit on Sterling Shepard but was called for targeting a defenseless receiver. Baylor safety Ahmad Dixon was then flagged for unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct.
After review, Norton was allowed to stay in the game, but not before Baylor was penalized three times for 38 yards.
