In a recent interview with ESPN.com, WWE Superstar Big Show placed all the blame on their WrestleMania match — which is currently in jeopardy — on the retired NBA star.

“It’s on Shaq,” Big Show told ESPN.com. “He has to figure things out in his own camp. Maybe he is just too scared to show up because he’s too busy riding around singing karaoke with John Cena and going to Krispy Kreme and getting fatter every week.
“Maybe he doesn’t want to put on spandex and show the entire world that Shaquille O’Neal, one of the greatest basketball players of all time, looks like Jabba the Hutt,” he continued. “It’s on him. He has to weigh these consequences in his own mind. Does he want the world to know how fat and out of shape he is? Or does he want to sit back and talk s— into a podcast?”
The 7-foot, 379-pound Big Show was rumored to be lined up for a match with Shaq at WrestleMania 33, which takes place in April. Recently, however, O’Neal seems to be backing out of the encounter, passing the buck elsewhere.
“It’s not my fault. That’s all you need to know. It ain’t my fault,” O’Neal said on a recent edition of his podcast. “Oh, it ain’t my fault. It (doesn’t) matter what they say. I’m just letting you know. It has nothing to do with The Diesel and his management.”
Sporting News recently spoke with the Big Show, and despite all the hype and smack talk happening between the two, Show knows O’Neal’s heart is in the right place.
“Shaq is one of the greatest big men of all-time in the NBA, without a doubt,” he told SN. “I love him as a basketball player and he’s a really good dude.”
Hopefully the match between the two comes to fruition, as both Shaq and the Big Show are two of the best entertainers to come out of their respective fields.
