The problem with that is the media wants to talk about the strange story surrounding defensive end Chandler Jones. In short, Jones was sent to the hospital over the weekend after reportedly having a bad reaction to synthetic marijuana.

Belichick knew the media would want more information on the topic, so he opened his press conference with a statement.
“First of all, relative to Chandler’s situation, there’s nothing more important to me personally than the health and well-being of our players, staff and support people in the organization,” he said. “We issued a statement on that, and I really don’t have anything to add to it."
The Patriots coach hoped that statement would suffice, but it didn’t. Media members continued to ask questions until Belichick finally broke down.
“Is there any more questions about the Chiefs here? The rest of it, I’m done talking about it. We issued a statement. That’s it."
He also had a zinger for the Patriots media. When asked if Jones’ role would be affected due to last weekend’s events, Belichick offered this:
“We’ll see on Saturday. I could just Xerox you a copy of the game plan and you can send it over to Kansas City. That might be easier for all of us."
