It marks the first time since 1960 the Hall of Fame will not welcome any new members and it remains to be seen whether the trio will receive enough votes to be enshrined in Cooperstown in 2022....

Sukadev Mahakuda, 65, had been traveling home through the Nagada forest in the Indian state of Odisha when a sloth bear pounced, attacking him from behind, the Times of India reported. Mahakuda grabbed a nearby bamboo stick in a bid to fight the bear off and it eventually loosened its grip allowing him to flee. He was rushed to hospital after suffering injuries to his back and legs. He is currently undergoing treatment and is in a weak condition, the Time of India reported....
