B12 is a common supplement for increasing energy. It’s available in several forms, including injections, tablets, and sublingual (under the tongue) forms. A few (but limited) studies suggest that low B12 levels may be involved in fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. If so, it’s possible that they are, at least in part, responsible for the low energy levels typical of both conditions. Research on B12 supplements for these illness has just begun, but what little we have is promising....

Police were called on the morning of Thursday, October 31, to reports that an infant had fallen from a height. When officers arrived at the scene in Tottenham, north London, they found a baby in critical condition. The child was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. The child is reported to have fallen from the ninth floor of an apartment block. Meral Dervik, who lives in the same block as the family, said the infant’s mother had been complaining to the local Haringey council about a faulty window handle at her home for two months to no avail....

The latest survey from Morning Consult found significant public support existed for a variety of police reform measures, including the required use of body cameras and improved de-escalation training. It also found that a little more than three quarters of U.S. voters (76 percent) would back mental health experts being hired to assist police officers in their work. Asked whether they would back a ban on police using chokeholds, such as the nine-minute knee to the neck used on George Floyd, a little under three quarters of all voters (73 percent) said they would support a ban....
