A new poll shows Trump and Democrat nominee Joe Biden almost in a dead heat among Hispanics in Miami-Dade County. The Bendixen & Amandi and Miami Herald poll show Trump with 47 percent of the Hispanic vote, and Biden with 46 percent. Although the poll shows Biden with an overall lead of 55 percent to Trump’s 38 percent in Miami-Dade, the overall numbers show more favorably to Trump than the exit polls of 2016, which had Hillary Clinton winning by 30 percentage points....

The presumptive Democratic Party nominee and the Democratic National Committee raised $80.8 million in May, the Biden campaign announced last week. On Saturday, the Trump campaign said it had raised $74 million over the course of the month. May was the first month that Biden was running unopposed on the Democratic platform. Rival Sen. Bernie Sanders withdrew from the contest in April and endorsed Biden for the nomination. Biden’s total is larger than the $60 million posted by President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign in May 2012 and the $38 million raised by presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton in May 2016....

“It’s not politically motivated at all,” Biden told reporters on Wednesday. “It’s motivated to make sure that I continue to push on what I’ve been pushing on, and that is making sure there’s enough oil.” The draw from the reserve, which is set to come sometime in December, is the last of the barrels remaining from the 180 million barrels he ordered the Energy Department to disburse back in March....

St. Louis-based U.S. District Judge Matthew Schelp issued the preliminary injunction for workers at Medicare- and Medicare-certified medical facilities in Alaska, Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming. The Associated Press reported that the court order stated that the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid had no clear authority from Congress to enact the mandate for its facilities. The federal mandate affects about 17 million health care workers in the approximately 76,0000 health care facilities nationwide that get their funding from government health programs....

“This president talks about cognitive capability. He doesn’t seem to be cognitively aware of what’s going on,” the former vice president said during a Tuesday press conference in Wilmington, Delaware. The remark was in response to a question about recent allegations that Trump ignored intelligence briefings about a possible Russian military scheme to offer bounties to Taliban-linked militia for the killing of American troops in Afghanistan. “He either reads and/or gets briefed on important issues and he forgets it or he doesn’t think it’s necessary that he needs to know it,” Biden added....

While Northwestern struggled on offense, Tennessee quarterback Josh Dobbs had a terrific game. He ran for two touchdowns and three for 166 yards. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis attributes a 60-percent reduction in COVID-19 hospital admissions to the success of monoclonal antibodies, an antiviral treatment for people who are considered high risk for severe illness. People have been flocking to the treatment since states expanded access and significant increases in orders were seen in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and other states with low vaccination rates—only seven states account for 70 percent of orders. To stave off a potential shortage, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) put a temporary limit on the amount providers could order....

The Missouri Tigers entered their Saturday contest against No.7 Georgia having not beaten a top-10 team since October 1981.
