President Joe Biden inherited U.S. military interventions of varying scale in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria and Yemen, and only in the latter has he taken limited steps to extricate the United States. This was the first strike Biden authorized in Syria, and it demonstrates the hypocrisy, lawlessness, perversion and futility of U.S. foreign policy in the greater Middle East. The hypocrisy is evident. In 2017, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki questioned by what legal authority then-President Donald Trump attacked Syria, a sovereign country not at war with the United States....

“I don’t think so, because so many people have already been vaccinated,” Biden said at a press conference when asked if the variant could prompt a new shutdown nationally. “But the Delta variant can cause more people to die in areas where people have not been vaccinated. Where people have gotten the two shots, the Delta variant is highly unlikely to result in anything.” He added, “The existing vaccines are very effective so no, it’s not a lockdown, but some areas will be very hurt....

Biden promised on Monday that his legislation would provide cost relief to Americans, lowering the costs of copays, insulin, vaccines and more, according to the Associated Press. “It’s safe to say that all of us can agree that prescription drugs are outrageously expensive in this country… I’m committed to using every tool I have to lower prescription drug costs for Americans consistent with the drug companies getting a fair return on their investment,” Biden said....

“Taking down, toppling the Christopher Columbus statue or the George Washington statue, I think that is something that the government has an opportunity and a responsibility to protect from happening,” Biden said when asked about his thoughts on monuments and statues being removed across the country. The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee told reporters he believes there is a “distinction” to be made with regards to statues and whether or not they should be allowed to stay in public places....

But whether the country at large is eager to welcome “big government” back from political exile—as some progressive politicians and reporters hopefully claim—is far from clear. In fact, surveys show most Americans remain deeply skeptical about Washington’s capabilities. Fortunately, Biden has other problem-solving tools at his disposal. Specifically, he should look to local governments, which have emerged as American federalism’s star performers. Instead of concentrating more power in Washington, the White House should work to decentralize decisions and resources to creative city and county leaders....

The cornerstone of this order is America’s strong relationship with Israel, the guarantor of indigenous Jewish sovereignty and security—and it’s important to repeat that loudly and often. American elites imagine themselves honest brokers of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and Mr. Biden will pay visits to the Jewish and Arab sides of Jerusalem to emphasize that point. But, of course, the idea that America is neutral is a delusion, as any Palestinian will tell you....

The president discussed the matter during a wide-ranging interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Tuesday and said he would take time to consider whether to run again after the upcoming midterm elections. Both Biden and Trump have suggested they will run for the White House again but neither man has formally declared his candidacy; the process of selecting the Democratic and Republican nominees won’t begin until early 2024. “Is one of the calculations that you think you’re the only one who can beat Donald Trump?...
