Local news outlet WBTW News13 said it obtained a call for service from the Horry County Police Department that confirmed police had responded to reports of the sea turtle harassment involving people riding a turtle. The incident happened on Monday, July 12, at around 10:51 p.m. after a green sea turtle came ashore at Garden City Pier, Horry County, to nest. In a Facebook post, the South Carolina United Turtle Enthusiasts (SCUTE) group said the turtle was “harassed, photographed and ridden” after being approached by people....

The incident took place overnight Monday in Stuart at the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. The furry intruder trespassed on the sheriff’s office’s grounds before it clambered up a tree. The sheriff’s office said in a statement released shortly before 4:30 a.m. Tuesday: “The Martin County Sheriff’s Office had an unexpected guest show up at our office tonight.” They added: “The bear made its way through the parking area and camped out for a bit in a tree near our investigations division....

According to Fox 11, Laurel-Rose Von Hoffman-Curzi, 66, from Orinda, suffered a deep laceration to her face which required stitches as well as other puncture wounds, cuts and bruises after being mauled by a bear at her holiday home in North Lake Tahoe last weekend. Von Hoffmann-Curzi said she had traveled to the property to isolate while she continues to fight stage 4 lymphoma. She was alerted to the presence of someone inside the property after being woken up by loud noises coming from the kitchen at approximately 6 a....

One of the bears is stood on the lip of a waterfall, and preparing to catch a salmon as it jumps towards it. On most days, a catch of this kind would pose little problem to the furry mammal, but on this particular occasion the bear ends up getting distracted....

Drinkers at the Yew Tree Pub in Norton Canes, a village in the Staffordshire region, were left scratching their heads when the large rodent wandered in around 8:45 p.m. Monday. The unusual visitor scampered past shocked customers in the main bar and scooted to the smoking shelter outside where it then took cover behind some chairs. Volunteers from a local wildlife sanctuary were called to the scene where they found the creature casually “lying on its back washing itself” in the beer garden....
