The prevalence of coronavirus on Baylor’s campus during the fall 2020 semester caused many activities to be canceled. On Monday, Baylor began requiring all of its students to be tested for COVID-19 on a weekly basis....

Melissa Bryant and Alan Aragon woke up just before 5 a.m. local time when they heard a noise in their home, as reported by WLWT5. The couple walked out of their bedroom, turned around and Bryant told WLWT5 she said: “Oh my goodness, there’s a bear in our house!” Aragon described the experience of seeing the bear in their home as “terrifying, exciting, beautiful.” Fortunately, the bear didn’t pay much attention to the couple and was much more interested in the food in their freezer and pantry as he ate for nearly 20 minutes....

According to ABC7, John Holden, from Sierra Madre, recently returned home to find his front door wide open and a bear helping itself to his leftover KFC. In a video shared with the news outlet, the bear can be seen sitting up on the counter devouring the bucket of fast food while Holden films from a safe distance. Holden said he had encountered one bear outside his house upon returning home while there was at least one more in the property at the time of his recording....

In a press release, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) officials said that a black bear wandered into a home near downtown Steamboat Springs, Colorado on September 7. The bear reportedly entered the home through an open garage and accidentally became trapped. As a result, the bear also trapped the home’s residents in an upstairs bedroom. According to CPW district wildlife manager Adam Gerstenberger, other residents in the area reported that the bear had also previously gotten into food stored in their garages....

The attacker, who has not yet been publicly identified, punched and kicked the 65-year-old woman shortly before noon on Monday, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD). The incident occurred just outside the doors of 360 West 43rd Street, a building that contains luxury apartments managed by the Brodsky Organization. On Twitter, the NYPD shared footage that showed the incident from inside the building. The video shows the woman walking on the sidewalk past the building’s doors until the attacker comes into view....
