In a recent interview with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols, the 76ers star was asked whether he agreed with Philadelphia coach Doc Rivers’ comments about Simmons being a “lock” for Defensive Player of the Year. On opening day of the 2021-22 season, news broke that 76ers coach Doc Rivers had thrown the three-time All-Star out of practice and that Simmons had been suspended for Philadelphia’s season opener against New Orleans. What happened? ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Simmons “declined several times to sub into a drill,” adding that his “reluctance to physically and mentally engage” with the 76ers has been a consistent theme since he has returned to the team....

The latest: Philadelphia wouldn’t include an “additional piece” along with Simmons in a potential trade for Wizards star Bradley Beal, according to David Aldridge and Josh Robbins of The Athletic. It’s been well known for a couple of months now that Beal is one of the 76ers’ dream targets in a Simmons trade. “Philadelphia has made no secret that Beal is on its short list of players for whom it would trade disgruntled guard Ben Simmons, who has sat out all season,” writes Aldridge and Robbins....

Kyrgios struggled to deal with a vocal crowd during an entertaining match and towards the end of their clash used the American actor to make point. Exchanging words with a heckler, Kyrgios pointed to a nearby Stiller in the front row and said, “Do I tell him how to act?
